Version 5.10.8

Released on 2025-06-10.

Note

If you are upgrading a cluster, you must be running CrateDB 4.0.2 or higher before you upgrade to 5.10.8.

We recommend that you upgrade to the latest 5.9 release before moving to 5.10.8.

A rolling upgrade from 5.9.x to 5.10.8 is supported. Before upgrading, you should back up your data.

Warning

Tables that were created before CrateDB 4.x will not function with 5.x and must be recreated before moving to 5.x.x.

You can recreate tables using COPY TO and COPY FROM or by inserting the data into a new table.

Fixes

  • Fixed a race condition that could leak memory when a node disconnected right about when a query requiring that node was about to start on another node.

  • Fixed a regression introduced in Version 5.6.0 that caused the logical replication to stop if the publisher source table has some non-active primary shards, for example when restarting a node. Please upgrade a subscriber cluster before upgrading a publisher cluster to apply the fix correctly. This fix will only work if both, the publisher and subscriber clusters, are running with Version 5.10.8 or higher.

  • Fixed an issue where sas_token and key settings for azure repositories were exposed as unmasked settings in sys.repositories table.

  • Fixed an issue that caused queries to not complete and return if a CircuitBreakerException was thrown while constructing the result set.

  • Fixed an issue that caused an interrupted bulk operation to not be cleared from the sys.jobs table.
