(CrateDB) Can you provide an overview of Axcess.io's main services and solutions, and what sets them apart in the industry?
[Amal Gupta] Axcess.io is an AWS Advanced Consulting Partner specializing in app, infrastructure and data modernization. I would like to emphasize that we are an AWS partner for Advance Tier Services with multiple validated competencies and services on AWS. The Axcess.io Premium Partner details can be found on the AWS partner Web page, which lists our credentials for:
- proven and certified competencies,
- accelerators and enablers,
- funding for services and migration credits.
What are the key challenges companies face today with the modernization of their applications?
[Amal] Organizations are not able to scale on demand according to business or market demand and are struggling with the high operational costs of legacy applications and infrastructure. Their ability to migrate and adopt the cloud model is constrained by the outdated legacy technologies that further limit microservices adoption, business scalability on demand and the cloud deployment model.
Which issues are they facing with managing their data?
[Amal] Data is critical to the success of an organization when it comes to delivering the right and timely insights to the marketing, service and operations team. This is not easy as enterprise data is scattered across multiple formats (structured data, unstructured data, spatial and media files). Providing a ubiquitous view, data governance with ease of use is a MUST for organizations that want to succeed in the field of modern technologies (AI, LLM, real-time analytics).
Can you describe the typical process when starting a new project?
[Amal] Axcess.io helps companies to remove technological obstacles from the ground up. We comprehensively analyze IT assets (application stacks, databases, servers and tools) and create a detailed migration plan with a pragmatic approach.
Do note that Axcess.io is the approved partner of the AWS Modernisation Application Programme (MAP – see diagram below) and companies can benefit from AWS funding. This means that companies can take advantage of the MAP at zero cost.
What motivated Axcess.io to partner with CrateDB, and what strategic benefits do you anticipate from this collaboration?
[Amal] Axcess.io partnered with CrateDB to enhance our data modernization capabilities by leveraging their powerful time-series database technology. This collaboration enables us to provide innovative solutions that deliver real-time insights and improved performance for our customers' data-driven applications.
What unique features of CrateDB do you believe will bring the most value to your clients, and how do you plan to leverage these features?
[Amal] CrateDB's ability to handle massive volumes of time-series data with real-time query performance and its native support for SQL make it uniquely valuable for our clients, especially those in Manufacturing and Logistics running IoT applications. We plan to leverage these features to enable real-time analytics and decision-making, which can be immensely helpful in optimizing operations and enhancing overall efficiency.
How do you see the partnership with CrateDB evolving in the future, and what joint innovations or developments can we expect to see?
[Amal] We see our partnership with CrateDB growing into a close collaboration that drives innovation in data analytics. By combining Axcess.io's cloud expertise with CrateDB's advanced time-series database, we aim to create new solutions for industries like manufacturing and logistics, including real-time analytics platforms for IoT data and optimized data processing tools that enhance efficiency and scalability.
